Whether we are meeting in my office or through teletherapy, I provide a safe and therapeutic environment for you to relax and process your emotions. If we are meeting virtually, I utilize a secure and HIPAA compliant teletherapy platform to conduct our virtual appointments. I enjoy being submerged in nature even when indoors. In my office you will be surrounded by plant life which helps promote a calming and grounding environment.

Below are some tips on how to create an optimal

environment in your home or office during virtual sessions:

​

  • Choose a dedicated space that is quite, private, and free of distractions.

  • Communicate to others within the home or office that you will be in a meeting and that you will need uninterrupted privacy unless it is an emergency.

  • Make sure to have adequate lighting within your chosen space.

  • Ensure you internet connection is strong and stable.

  • Check your camera and audio on your device to ensure they are working properly.

  • Use headphones or earbuds to filter out external noise. This also helps to increase privacy of our conversations.

  • Make sure your space is comfortable and calming to you. 

  • Ensure that whatever you may need during session is within arms reach. This helps to reduce too much movement or having to get up from your computer during session.

  • If for some reason we loose connection during session, end and restart the session. We will go over a back-up plan during the initial session to discuss what we will do in the event that we experience a disruption in internet service.
